Hi, Iām Chef Syd!
I'm a personal chef in Portland, Oregon, cooking for private clients through in-home and delivery services.
Food has been central to my life for years, but it took on new meaning after a year of chemotherapy and radiation. As a cancer survivor, I came to see cooking as one of the most powerful ways I can care for myself, and I bring that perspective to every kitchen I work in.
My approach is hyper-local, seasonal, and whole-food. I get to know each household's tastes, routines, and requirements, then build personalized menus and a custom cook day around them.
Eating well within dietary limits is personal to me. I know the frustration of limited options, and I believe nobody should have to choose between food they can trust and food they love. Tell me your preferences, and that's how I'll cook for you. I specialize in gluten-free baking (not suitable for celiac disease).
Beyond weekly meal prep, I offer event catering and menstrual cycle coaching. As a personal chef and certified menstrual cycle coach through Cyclical School, I help clients understand their bodies and eat in a way that supports them, with coaching to build the knowledge and meals to put it into practice.
When I'm not in the kitchen, you'll find me surrounded by all things seasonal at the PSU farmers market every Saturday, selling veggies for Eloisa Organic Farms. Come say hi!
